Rules:
Selecting Drivers
Select 8 drivers from the provided salary list. You must choose 8 drivers, no more, no less. You must stay under the 10 million dollar salary cap. Any driver not listed will be a total of 300,000. The salary list will not change throughout the season. Remember you are selecting drivers and not cars. If we have duplicate teams we will contact the team who turned theirs in first. They will have the option to keep their team or differ to the other team with the same drivers. If they elect to keep the same team we will go back to the first team again. If they maintain they want to keep their changes then we will refer to tie breaker rules. While it is the goal of Fantasy Thunder Cup to not have duplicate teams and we would encourage and try to get any situation resolved we can not and will not force anyone to change their teams after they make selections. You can download the entry fee and the salary sheet at the bottom of the page. You can also contact us at info@fantasythundercup.com with any questions.

Payouts
We are guaranteeing at least the top 5 will be paid in each league. If we only have one league we will increase the number of positions. We will also have prizes and also the championship glass for the champions. We will determine the total amounts of the payoffs after the signup period has ended. Payouts will be paid out within 45 days after the results are official. We will also have 3 payout races this season for each league. If you are the highest scoring team at the preselected races then you will win your entry fee back for that team. The races are the Daytona 500, the spring Richmond race and the finale at Homestead.

How the Multiple Leagues Will Be Selected
We have a maximum of 43 teams in a league; each team will be placed in a league on a first come first serve basis. If you have a special request in which you would like to be in a league with someone else or if you have multiple teams and you want to be put into different leagues, we will try and accommodate your requests the best we can but we will not guarantee anything. Each league will be one of their own and at no point will leagues be joined together. Once all of the entry fee money is in we will split the money evenly between the total number of leagues we have. The total number of leagues will be determined by the amount of teams we get entered. We are looking for a total of 4 leagues or 172 teams so get your entries in quick. If we see that we have more teams interested we will create another league. If we do not get enough to fill out a full league we will add to the total teams to the other league so the league could exceed 43.

Races That Effect Our League
The races that affect our league are the 36 races on the schedule. All exhibition races do not affect the way our league is played.

The Championship
Your 8 drivers will accumulate points each week to give you a total team score. The team score is then put in order from most points scored to least points scored. Based on your teams finishing position you will be awarded a set number of points that is called your weekly points. Your weekly points are the accumulated each week to give you an overall score. The overall score is what determines your championship standings. Each week if your team wins you will receive a win, if you score a top 5 you will be awarded a top 5 and the same for a top 10. Remember this is your team in our league not the drivers total wins, top 5's and top 10's. These are used to help with tiebreakers. We will now allow a total of 12 teams into the chase and any teams tied for 12th after the 26 race "regular season." Each team's scores will be reset to a total amount that is to be determined. After the team's scores are reset we will offer a 10 point bonus per win that each team has scored.(that is your team NOT your individual drivers) You will then be placed in order of points. Tie breakers will be based on number of second place finishes, then third place finishes and so on. These changes are certainly different and will be interesting how it plays out. We hold the right to change the chase rules based on NASCAR changing their system. The system could be change at any time during, before or after the season. If you have any questions please email me. info@fantasythundercup.com

Trading/Changing Drivers
There are a few different ways in which you can drop and pick up drivers. 1. You may change up to 3 drivers during the 3 driver change periods. The change periods are the following. The first period is April 28th - May 1st, the second period is June 30th - July 2nd. And the final change period September 7th - September 11th. During these periods you may change up to, but no more than 3 drivers as long as you stay under the salary cap. Be careful, once you have a driver and drop them you will not be able to pick them up later in the year. 2. In the case that a driver is fired, injured or replaced you may pick up a driver from the tradable driver list. However if a driver quits or is fired and is picked up by another team you must keep him. If that driver is fired and you pick up a driver from the tradable driver list and that driver lands a new ride anytime after the change has been made you may NOT pick him back up. The following rules apply for the tradable driver list: You must not currently have the driver on your roster. The driver selected can not be a driver you had active, prior on your roster. Once you drop a current driver you may not pick that driver back up later if he comes back racing. If your tradable driver puts your team over the salary cap, you must adjust your roster at the next driver change period to get your team under the cap. If there are no more driver change periods, you must select a driver that keeps your team under the salry cap. If after the driver change periods there are teams that have the same team, we will contact the team that turned in their changes first, they will have the option to keep their team or differ to the other team with the same drivers. All changes and questions can be sent to info@fantasythundercup.com by the deadline.

Tie Breakers
In the case of a tie during a weekly race event.
If 2 or more teams tie with the same score for the week, the team with the highest finishing driver on their team will win the tiebreaker.

In the case of a tie in the overall standings.
If 2 or more teams are tied in the overall standings the team with the most team wins will win the tiebreaker, if that can't decide it then the team with the most team top 5's will win the tiebreaker, if that can't decide it then the team with the most team top 10's will win the tiebreaker. If that can't decide it then if it is for a cash position the money will be split, if it is for a non money position it will go to who turned their teams in first.

In the case of a tie for 12th place when the chase starts
All teams tied for 12th place will be eligible for the chase.

In the case of a tie in the standings after adding in the 10 point bonus
After teams totals are reset and the 10 point bonus for each win is added, any teams tied in points will then be broken by the number of 2nd place finishes, 3rd place finishes and so on until the tie is broken.

In the case that 2 or more teams have the same team, then the team with the most team wins will win the tiebreaker, if that can't decide it then the team with the most team top 5's will win the tiebreaker, if that can't decide it then the team with the most team top 10's will win the tiebreaker. If that can't decide it we will take whoever turned their teams in first or who made their changes first whichever was last to apply. Ex: if you made a change and you matched your team with someone who didn't make a change the person who did not make the change would win the tiebreaker.

Viewing the Scores
We will keep track of the scoring and will be updated on the website usually by Wednesday the week after the event.
